“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given... And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6
Inspired by the beautiful prophecy of Isaiah, this original artwork celebrates the birth of Jesus and four names that reveal His divine nature, His love and His purpose.
Each symbol tells part of the story of Christ – the eternal King who came into the world as a humble child, bringing hope, joy and peace, and ultimately giving His life for us.
Everlasting Father – Top Left (Alpha and Omega)
The Alpha and Omega, the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, symbolise Christ's eternal nature – the beginning and the end. He is everlasting, unchanging and faithful throughout all generations (Revelation 22:13).
Wonderful Counselor – Top Right (Dove)
The dove represents peace and the Holy Spirit, our Counselor. Through Jesus, we receive a peace beyond anything the world can offer. As He promises in John 14:26–27, His peace comforts our hearts and reminds us not to be troubled or afraid.
Mighty God – Bottom Left (Three Evergreen Trees)
The three evergreen trees symbolise the Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Their enduring greenery represents our everlasting God. They also reflect the beautiful contrast of Advent: a mighty God coming as a humble child, whose love would ultimately lead Him to the sacrifice of the cross (Philippians 2:8).
Prince of Peace – Bottom Right (Manger and Crown)
The manger and crown represent the beautiful paradox of the Messiah – a King born in a humble manger. Jesus came into our broken world to bring hope and reconciliation, making peace between us and God through His sacrifice. As Ephesians 2:14 declares, “For He Himself is our peace.”
Together, these four symbols celebrate the wonder of Christ's birth, His majesty and His incredible love – a meaningful reminder of the hope, joy and everlasting peace we find in Him.
